Cursor in the terminal should be blinking if the window is active.

I take this back. It does not appear that the cursor would blink in either xterm, XFCE terminal or Firefox. Blinking cursor is just a visual style and it's a pretty dated one. I guess modern cursor does not need to blink, it's unnecessarily disruptive.
