Description (last modified by Jiri Svoboda)

Zero configuration networking allows automagic configuration of network settings, host name resolution and service discovery in a network without the need for central administration/configuration.

This is very convenient for small networks with mutual trust among participants (such as home networks). Examples of current implementations are Windows uPNP, Mac OS X Bonjour, and the free software implementation Avahi. Sadly there is no definite IETF standard.

HelenOS should support Zeroconf out of the box (not saying it should be enabled by default). Suggest implementation should be iteroperable with Avahi (mDNS, DNS-SD, IPV4LL).
