    1 Ok, so there are actually two separate problems. First is that they changed the meaning of "ld" cross-variable, meaning that if we fix it for the new semantics, it's no longer compatible with the old version. That can be solved by bumping the required version. Second is that the most recent version does not work in Travis because it needs higher Python version. I'll need to check if that can be solved.
