Description

Implement the client support for the DHCP protocol so that HelenOS can auto-configure its network connection.

A prototype implementation was commited in mainline,1991. Some work is still needed, namely:

  • Automatically read MAC address from IP link (vs. hardwired)
  • Implement protocol state machine more fully, including errors and timeouts
