  • Ticket #163 – Description

    initial v6
1 Mouse handling is only implemented in Gcons. When running on a text-only framebuffer, mouse is not handled and there is no visible mouse pointer.

3 Currently there would be nothing to control with the mouse, but this will change when ticket #162 is implemented.
3Along with the introduction of GUI (compositor), graphical console support was removed. Recently support for graphical console was restored (albeit without the frills) by adding a graphical back-end to the output server. Mouse still cannot be used in console either in text mode or graphics mode.

5Mouse input would be useful in console for controlling UI applications running in console mode (especially since they cannot be controlled using the keyboard, yet).
