More master theses in progress
Recently I have been delighted to watch the growing interest in our project. Not only are there more and more people on the project's mailing list and not only I receive increasing amount of questions about HelenOS from colleagues, friends and other people, but there are currently four HelenOS-related master theses in progress at Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, Charles University.
Jakub Vana has had some success with his work on making HelenOS run natively on real-life Itanium servers (assignment). Lenka Trochtova will be working on the device driver subsystem model (assignment), Lukas Mejdrech will implement HelenOS networking (assignment) and Pavel Rimsky will improve our support for the newer and also the newest UltraSPARC processors (assignment).
This, combined with the recent activities on the file system layer front made by the original core team, brings HelenOS closer to the point where all the big missing features are finally implemented.
